Stretch marks are unsightly scars under that occur when rapid growth occurs in the body, usually from obesity, and pregnancy. The marks appear from the dermis (which is the middle layer of the skin) ripping, and creating a permanent scar in the middle of the skin. Both men, and women can get stretch marks, about 90% of women get stretch marks when they become pregnant. There are many different methods, and treatments they are designed just for the treatment of stretch marks. Different things like topical stretch mark lotions, and different creams that can help diminish the appearance of these scars.

Many women use different things like common lotions like coco butter when they become pregnant to help prevent the stretch marks from occurring. Coco butter though has been proven by many doctors, and scientists to actually not work, in helping to prevent stretch marks. The best type of treatment for women to help prevent the stretch marks from occurring while being pregnant, is to use different creams that have been proven to work in stretch mark prevention like revitol stretch mark cream. Revitol is a cream with high amounts of trofolastin, and vitamin-e in it which helps to diminish the marks.

Unfortunately for both men, and women once you have stretch marks you will always have the stretch marks, unless you get a procedure which is commonly called a “tummy tuck”, but there is things you can do to help diminish the sight of the marks. Many doctors recommend pulse dye laser treatment (stretch mark surgery) for people that want to remove the most of the stretch mark that they can. The pulse dye laser will wound the middle layer of the skin, and cause the body to produce more elasticity chemicals, and produce more pigmentation to help he color of the skin get back to normal.
